Rune Runner

Rune runner was created for the Opera GX Launch game jam. The theme of this Jam was "Then night came... and everything changed". I made this game within the two week limit and uploaded it to the Opera GX Platform. It can be played there still.

What is Rune Runner?

You've been chosen by the Elden Wizard to take on a challenging gauntlet to defeat the Crimson beats, an evil dragon. Complete four levels per area and three areas collecting yellow runes through out in order to open a portal to the next level. In certain levels purple runes can be found, collecting all of these is what opens the final portal to the dragon's lair! 

"Rune Runner" is a short, but frustrating, platformer.  Slay the dragon in order to save the realm from the unspeakable horrors of the Crimson Beast! However, beware the night... many things change along the path of the rune runner when night falls.

A - Left, D - Right, Space - Jump, W - Climb, Shift - Sprint.

Note:

*This project was created using Gamemaker Studio 2 which does not automatically codesign the executable for anti virus programs. This means that sometimes the game flags as a virus on certain anti virus programs. This is however, a false positive. I hope this issue will not cause you any problems and that you enjoy the game.
